At FRESHFARM Markets, we run 11 dynamic events every week during the season—our vibrant, producer-only farmers markets.

We also host more than 100 cooking demonstrations every season though our Chef at Market educational and culinary program. These popular cooking demos include simple home recipes and advanced cooking techniques and attract both local and national top chefs, as well as nutritionists, writers and home cooks.

FRESHFARM Markets hosts and co-hosts other exciting and innovative events as well. Through partnerships with other communities, local nonprofits, institutions and businesses, we bring our message of local foods and local farmers to an ever-expanding constituency in the Chesapeake Bay region. Events such as our recent Philip Glass benefit concert at The Phillips Collection and our 2010 screening of Symphony of the Soil with Deborah Koons Garcia and the Environmental Film Festival give us an opportunity to present our organization, farmers and producers with a new perspective.

The Farmland Feast is our annual marquee event. Named the "locavore event of the year" by DC magazine, the Feast showcases the creativity of local chefs who prepare an artful meal inspired by the flavors of the season. It's our annual farm-to-fork harvest celebration, featuring our talented culinary stars, our farmers, producers, customers and the bounty of the Chesapeake Bay.
