ANCHOR NURSERY

Jim and Alice Breger own 205 acres and cultivate 150 acres as Anchor Nursery in Galena, MD. They grow seasonal vegetables such as asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, heirloom tomatoes, pumpkins, winter squash, turnips and rutabagas. They also have cut flowers, bedding plants, roses, trees and other perennials, as well as seasonal wreaths, swags and pine roping. In addition to the Dupont Circle, Penn Quarter and St. Michaels FRESHFARM Markets, they also sell at the Chestertown and Cambridge farmers' markets on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
