Garner's Produce is a family-owned farm operated by Edward Meade Garner with the help of his daughters, Dana and Lora, and son-in-law, Bernard. Approximately 110 acres of production include various types of fruits, vegetables, herbs, cut flowers, nursery products and a few soybeans. Garner's makes continuous efforts to improve their sustainable-production practices to ensure fresh, safe, high-quality and nutritious fruits and vegetables. In addition to participation at 10 farmers market in the region, selling to local schools, restaurants, CSAs, Whole Foods Markets, Garner's operates a roadside stand offering produce, eggs, canned goods, natural soaps and local honey. In 2010 Garner's Produce was awarded Virginia Century Farm status, an honor given to farms that have been in operation for at least 100 consecutive years.
