BLADES ORCHARD

In 2008 Stephen and Lynda Blades, who worked as a lacrosse coach and in medical sales, respectively, in MD, decided to switch gears and become orchardists. The couple purchased a 25-year-old, 63-acre orchard in Caroline County, where they grow peaches, apples, a variety of produce and also harvest honey. The orchard offers U-pick apples and pumpkins and participates in a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). "Someone recently said we have the best of the best in life style.
