MARK FURSTENBERG
Chef and Owner, The Bread Line
Mark Furstenberg is the founder of The Bread Line, a 'fast food restaurant' that makes traditional bread-based foods of many cultures. Mark also teaches bread making, writes about bread and consults with bakeries throughout the United States. Before making a career of his lifelong baking hobby, he worked as a journalist, an administrator for the Boston Police Department and as a consultant. Mark opened Marvelous Market in 1990, and introduced high-quality traditional breads to Washington, DC. He sold Marvelous Market in 1996, and opened The Bread Line in 1997.
