TERRY GOLSON
Professional Chef, Cooking Instructor and Author

Respected cookbook author Terry Golson lives in Massachusetts, but her 3-acre yard is not what you'd expect to find in her suburban neighborhood. Her gardens, screened from neighbors by native bushes and roses, are filled with herbs, vegetables and berry patches. On a sunny day, one can also see at least 11 hens poking about a large pen. Keeping backyard hens—a growing trend in suburbia—has become one of Golson's passions, and her hens are now the stars of her popular website, hencam.com. It is these busy and beloved hens that also inspired Golson to write her newest cookbook, The Farmstead Egg Cookbook (St. Martin's Press, 2006), which celebrates one of the often overlooked staples of cooking: really delicious eggs. Golson is also the author of For Goodness' Sake, which was a James Beard Award nominee. For more information, see www.terrygolson.com.
