Equinox opened in May of 1999 and was quickly voted 'Best New Restaurant in DC' by Gourmet, Bon Appetit and Esquire. Todd has remained true to his Mid-Atlantic roots by showcasing local and seasonal ingredients prepared using traditional culinary techniques. In 2001, 2002 and 2003, he received a nomination for Best Chef in the Mid-Atlantic region from the prestigious James Beard Foundation.
